SETC’s 2023 convention will be an experience like no other. SETC is looking for volunteers who already have the skills/experience or want to learn how to manage a theatre conference. SETC selects over 100 volunteers for the event who must attend training/preparation meetings and engage in some day-to-day coordination. Some positions for shorter periods of shadowing and learning are available. If you are willing to commit 10 hours of your time to volunteer, SETC will waive your convention registration fee. Positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers must be current SETC members during the time of convention.
Experience in any of the following is preferred:
- Retail Service (credit card processing)
- Event Planning
- Audio/Visual Assistance
- Stage Management
- Photography/Videography
Volunteer Areas Include:
- Convention Gear
- Registration Desk
- Design Competition
- Exhibit Hall
- Special Events Setup
- Theatre Job Fair
- Professional Auditions
- Undergraduate & Graduate School Auditions
- High School Theatre Festival Team
- High School Stage Management Team
- Keynote/Festival Production
Volunteers will receive free Convention Registration after 10 hours of service.
